Ghost Galatta: 'Houseful' Aana Aavigal

"Ghost Galatta," which means Ghost Fun/Chaos, is a comedy play in three acts about a very cramped family in an old house. The family includes Murali, the son-in-law who works from home ; his uncle, Dharma Lingam, a fake ghost remover ; his aunt, Latha, who cooks for large groups; Vasanthi, an online PE teacher ; and Raghu, a wannabe poet.

Desperate for space , Dharma Lingam convinces everyone to move to a huge, cheap, but reportedly haunted old house outside the city. Soon after moving, strange things happen, like a loud "thud" and a vase breaking. Dharma Lingam finds a magical leaf manuscript that tells how to make a paste that lets a person see ghosts.

Murali accidentally eats the entire paste, thinking it’s chutney. He can now see three ghosts: Vedi Muthu, a lazy rowdy ghost; Babu, a scaredy-cat ghost ; and Kanchana, a poetic ghost. Murali, now a "Ghost Whisperer", makes a clever "deal" with the friendly ghosts. Babu helps Latha in the kitchen, Vedi Muthu helps Dharma Lingam with his ghost-removing business by just looking scary, and Kanchana becomes Raghu’s poetic muse. The family solves their space problem and their life issues, only for the play to end on another comical surprise at the doorbell.
